Warranty info at a glance

Extended warranties aren’t worth the paper they are written on!

Well, many of us have experienced this of course and in our sister car sales business (Jon Seal Sportscars Ltd) we have had a lot of experience with warranty companies dong all the things we hate – wriggling out of claims – having a very long winded claims process – poor hourly rate cover all the usual stuff.

There are a number of things we do to ensure that this is something you’ll never hear about our company:

We only take cars up to 8 years old for our top level of cover which is with some exceptions (see our full warranty terms page) essentially a comprehensive warranty. We can’t offer anything meaningful for 15 year old cars so we don’t.

We have a long standing relationship with our underwriter (WSG) who are very well regarded in the motor trade industry

Claims are dealt with by humans and its all UK based

We don’t take on modified cars (an exhaust backbox/lowering springs are ok but we don’t take on power tuned and modified/track cars) We are sensible with this and can agree certain modifications on a case by case basis

We pass on the highest levels of cover to our customers by dealing direct with the underwriters (no dealer/resellers taking a cut and diluting cover)

Repairs and diagnostics can be carried out at any VAT registered specialist or main dealer (there is a small additional charge for main dealer rates to be covered)

Other benefits include:

Car hire if needed whilst your claim is ongoing

Track use is NOT excluded

European Breakdown cover for 30 days and even have issues dealt with on your trip

There are some reasonable exclusions covered in more detail on the “Warranty terms” page mainly limited to consumables and service items we are also not able to cover paint and bodywork.
